Most of my lawns are a combo of rye, fescue, and k. blue grass. Most of my customers want that dark, dark green look. Is there a combo product that focuses on a really dark green lawn. Or should I just reseed with one dark type. should I combine?

For fescue, stay away from KY31...it is a lime green.

Kentucky Bluegrass is pretty dark, but what will make it stand out more is a good fertilization program that includes IRON.

Last spring fert in March used 1lb N w/2% Iron. Just put out last fert app until Sept overseed w/5-10-31 10% Iron for summer color and K.

You need top-quality sod. If not, then go for one of the darkest green varieties of Kentucky bluegrass. Northstar, Midnight II, Moonglow, Limousine.
If not--go for KBG and one of the darker green ryegrass types: Silverdollar, Derby Xtreme, Palmer IV, Manhattan IV, Gray Goose.

I get seed mixed by Oliger Seed, Akron OH. I ask them to mix 85% of their "Best of the Blues" and 15% of "5-way Ryegrass. You will never see such dark green!!
I use it for my own lawn and I only fertilize lightly. Darkest in the neighborhood.
