Hey im looking into a Stander 48in and need to know if anyone out there uses them for leaves. It will have either an Accelerator or a Grass Gobbler. How do they perform with leaves?

No bagging of anyleaves with our stander......plate over outlet and it chops them into dust.

they are excellent sucking up leaves but what sucks is the gobbler gets filled in 30 seconds.

before you pull the trigger on the stander take a look at the Grand Stand

I know you asked about a Stander, but...The larger collection systems on ZTRs are better for fall cleanups in New England. Even with the larger capacity, they fill up very fast. We use the mower as a final sweep/vac on cleanups...after doing 95% of the leaf removal with backpacks, walk-behind blower, rake+tarp, and jrco leaf plow.

the leaf plow looks pretty interesting, im assuming it has worked out well for you?

It works really well. The weird thing is, it mostly takes the place of the walk-behind blower. We use the backpacks until we have piles which are too big to move quickly with blowers. Then I push the piles wherever they need to go with the plow. It does not leave a clean lawn behind by any means, but we just have one guy with a backpack keep blowing leaves back into the pile, then I keep plowing the pile away. It is an amazing time saver.

I agree with this 100%, Wright Stander is by far the best stand up mower on the market. They work great for sucking leaves, but I would recommend going with some type of collection system (we run Pro-Vac on all of ours) rather then the Grass Gobbler.

I really don't care what it looks like, its how it performs. I don't buy lawn mowers and other equipment for the looks, I buy them for reliability and performance. :hammerhead:

grandstand are the biggest pile of junk. They need to fix the problems and then they might be ok. stick with the wright . They do chop up well but for the higher end jobs get a collection system or use a walker.before you pull the trigger on the stander take a look at the Grand Stand
