Just wondering if I could save time but not mess up a lawn by taking a 6x12 open trailer with about 2.5 yds of mulch into a lawn with a garden tractor but not rut the lawn? Anyone know if this is going to work? Also, how much does a yd of mulch weigh? Thanks,
Eric

I think 1 yard dry weights around 600lbs. Not positive though. I would do it in you situation. Just check how firm the ground is that you will be driving on. If there are no ruts go for it.

Many times I've carried 2 yrds in the back of my Chevy into a lawn with no problems. But here in my area if its not wet its not a problem with all the clay. But if its wet, the clay ruts bad.

thanks. forgot to mention that this is a single axle trailer, if that makes much difference. I didn't think it would do much to it, but just checking.. thanks again

5,000 lb. axle
3,500 lb. license plate
2.5 yds @ 600 lbs each goes to 3/4 ton, 1,500 lbs.
