was'nt there a model called the LX 2000 ? it seems like it was a 30" or 36" cut. im looking for a small ZTR rider.

The smallest is the LX2001 that has a 42" deck and a 20hp Kohler engine. Last year they had an "entry level" machine , the model LX1901. It had a 42" deck and a 19hp Kawasaki engine. It was kind of a bare bones machine. Both dealers here have some left. They are not shown in the 2002 D.C. catalog.:)

actually the smallest (horse power and cheapest) chopper is:
X1701-50
50" deck, red 4-rail frame, s/s body
msrp for $6495 sells for $5999

I was looking at the LX2001 42 inch. I do mainly residential so I think the 42 inch would be my best bet. I was comparing it to the exmark 44". The nearest Dixie Chopper dealer is in Yorktown VA, about 50 miles away and all the DC websites do not list the price. I visited an Exmark dealer today and checked out their 44" . He could sell it to me for $5799.
