This morning, a mechanic at a local John Deere dealer was killed when the tractor he was working underneath fell and crushed him. Apparently, it was a mid-size, with the front end hoisted up with a chain fall, when the bolts that held the chain slipped through, and the machine came down on his chest. The other mechanics hooked the hoist back up and raised the tractor off of him, but by then, he was into cardiac arrest. He died on the way to the hospital. News reports say he was married and had children. Let's just take this as a reminder to be careful out there, and though most all of us are reved up and excited about getting back to work, let's take our time and ALWAYS put safety first. PLEASE don't make us have to read about one of our own on here. Thanks.

Thanks for reminding us Runner.

No safety, know pain. Know safety, no pain.

Man you can't be too careful. This is sad, because most of the time these sort of things can be avoided with a little more time spent before getting down to the job at hand.

you only get one set of factory equipped parts for yourself, take safety in mind for the ones you have.
