I'm looking for a battery powered trimmer for my wife. Is anyone familar with the Worx GT or any other trimmer?

Thanks. Clint

hedge trimmer? I love my black and decker from Lowes. Very strong and light weight!

The Worx is an over hyped, over priced trimmer. You can buy cheaper electrics(battery powered) at Walmart, that will work just as well. I use a 12v rechargeable, that is about 4'long I think it cost like $50-60 bucks, I carry it on my Dixie Chopper, it's real handy when you are on a job site, and there is one object to trim around, like a mailbox at the end of a long driveway. I chose 12 volt, cause I can run a wire to the mower's battery, to recharge the trimmer.:cool2:

As DiyDave said there over hyped and over priced, my old neighbor had one and did not like it as much as his old toro trimmer

18v Black and Decker works great. I have about 6000 sq/ft and need two batteries if I edge as well. One will cover the trimming alone.
