This is something i have always wondered just never got around to asking. everytime i do a trimming job i always seem to think there has to be a faster, easier way. how are you guys doing this?
I have raked the debris up and sucked it with my bg 85 with vac attachment (worked great but mulch always chokes it and i have to remove the mulch from the impellor) of course i have done it br rake and hand... and last time was probably the easiest when i raked it all up and scooped it up with a pitchfork.... but even then you have to go back over it and get what was left behind. just curious as to how you all do it!:usflag:

If Im mowing the property also.....and have a bagger on the mower....just mow and bag it

I just rake it and put in a trash can or cans. If I'm mowing, I leave the tiny pieces and let the mower cut and blow them.

If the bush / shrub / hedge is on top of rocks...I will just cut the trimmings, then blow them into the lawn and pick them up from the lawn with either a rake or a mower with a bagger.
If the bush / shrub / hedge is on top of mulch...I will place either cut trash bags or a tarp down to collect all the trimmings so there is no blowing of mulch up.

so there is no blowing of mulch up.
Yeah, don't you hate it when you're working in a mulch bed and the stuff is exploding everywhere around you?

If I can get a tarp in the bed and around the shrub I will do that.
then just tarp the trimmings. :weightlifter:

Tarp is the best, if I know I have a big job to do, I take several 6x8 tarps, and layer the clippings and trash in the pickup, about 6-10" deep, then put another tarp, then another layer, etc. Take the load to the dump, and zip one tarp full of trash off, grab the next, etc, I unload a whole truck full of trash, before the guy in the dump truck gets his tailgate down! Obummer don't know tarp, I know tarp!:laugh:

ill have to try the tarp next time... thats about the only one i havent done mentioned above... because my biggest problem esp comes from boxwoods... all my accounts are on top of mulch so its not always the best idea to blow!

Depends on how much of the bush we trim off. For large amount of trimming rake and bag then blow little pieces back under bushes. Usually we are trimming and mowing at the same place so i have a mulch kit on emark 52 and leaves just disappear after mowing. Works great!

i usually rake into piles and pick up with a pitchfork and garbage cans and dump it into the truck
