Never planted bermuda before and I've been told that when I spread the seed I need to add sand to it b/c the seed is so small. How many lbs of sand do I add to to a lb of seed? Thanks

I use cracked corn in a 1:1 ratio sperad 3-4 Lbs/1000sq.ft.
The corn is also a mild fungacide.
Some of the bermuda that you will plant will have a "mulch" blend that will replace the need for the sand. I just planted Princess 77 that contains the mulch in the bag. It is some type of granule that aids in spreading the seed as well as helping to retain the moisture. Regardless, it is a Pennington product and is the top rated seed that is supposed to rival and in field trials has actually outperformed some of the most popular traditionally soded varieties. FYI. I recently read where it was used to overseed and renovate the JB Owens baseball complex there in Easley. I have had teams on that complex and was amazed to find that it was a seeded variety.
