New guy from North Georgia.
2 weeks ago I stumbled onto what I thought was a good deal.
I bought a used Ferris H3225K Serial # 911 with 1175 hours.
This is a 3 Wheel mower with a 25 hp Kohler, 72” cut.
Last week I noticed the left motor was leaking just a few drops overnight.
Then I noticed where I had cut my yard, there were some dead streaks where I had cut around small trees etc. Looking even closer, the streaks were a little more than wheel width from the edge of whatever I had cut around.
Cutting in a straight line, no oil leak. Skin around the flag pole or small tree; streaks of dead grass a little more than a wheel width from the object.
My questions are:
Could this be as simple as a loose fitting?
Why leak only when that wheel is barely moving or not at all?
How expensive are these motors?
