After consulting Lawnsite for weeks, I finally went out and purchased my first commercial mower. I went out and bought a 36" Exmark Metro and a Husqvarna blower. I had to choose between a Toro and the Metro, and decided that since the 36" Metro was 250.00 cheaper than the 32" Toro, and the availibilty of a mulcher kit instead of a dedicated deck, my choice was made. It is in the 70's here in Illinois today and grass is growing fast from all the rain we had the past week. Get out of my way, I am ready to mow!!!

Where did you end up purchasing the exmark from? I am thinking of buying a similar mower soon. Also, if you don't mind, what was the price?

Went down to Muscatine Lawn and Power. Rollie gave me a great deal. It was a little bit of a drive but was worth the extra miles for an Exmark. I heard though Rexco on 61 and 280 just started to pick up the exmark line. Saw them at the Lawn and Garden show in Rock Island last weekend.

The mower was around 2400.00, but was the last of 2001 models he had.
