Exmark Hydro Oil Dark

First post for me; longtime lurker and gatherer of much helpful info. Thanks to all for the information I have received thus far. I have a 2009 Phazer with 57 hours on it; is it normal for hydro oil to get dark so soon? Should I be worried? The dealer said it should be OK (on the phone) Thanks in advance.

you shouldnt need to replace hdro oil for atleast 500 hrs. you dont ever really need to change it. your engine will dy before the hydro unit dies.

Don't most manufaturers tell you to change it at 50 hours and every 500 hours after that? I would say it's breaking in. Tony

My manual says at 250 hours for the first change and then every 500 hours or yearly whichever comes first. I just wondered if it was normal to look like that at only 57 hours. Thanks for the replies.
