Why is everyone complaining about the weather? Our avg this time of year is 106 we are going to be 110-112 by Sunday. All though for you global warming enthusiasts it has been the coolest June on record since 1913 here in AZ.

I was surprised to hear that from my family and friends down there, Gardener. Was the Bermuda slow to take off this year without the heat?

Its been a pain, the idiots look like the smart ones cause they are watering like mad and the majority of turf is still Rye but its green. I'm watering for Bermuda and it has been very slow to take off. Night time temps have been in the low 70s until this week so there is a lot of brown Rye mixed in.

It has finally started to jump this week. I wish I were younger now and then!

Try 60% humidity on top of the 100+ degree temperatures.
I've been in Phoenix and Vegas in the summer and 100 out there felt like high 80's to me because of the lack of humidity.

I remember that summer well. First summer of my biz. BRUTAL summer for learning how to run a business while still trying to go to rock concerts and lake parties.

For everyone in Texas and Arizona ... it's time to migrate North ... it's only going to get hotter over the coming years !!

We are getting ready to go into stage 3 water restrictions for the first time ever. No car washing, no soaker hoses and you get to water landscape one day every other week. We need rain!

They've all been north of you this year. When we get rain you guys seem to go dry and vice versa. It seems to be the way the jet streams flow. Are they still letting you do installs?

No restrictions on installs yet. They are already talking about stage 4 which has no real additional water restrictions. Once in stage 4 the city decides what additional measures should be taken. What is interesting is the local paper is starting to publish letters from people wanting to know why we need to conserve water yet local businesses do not. The businesses brought up as examples are car washes and the biggie is Schlitterbahn which pulls large amounts water from the river nonstop.

Pretty much, got 3 calls for solar syncs over the weekend. Thats pretty much it till the phone rings again. Systems are not running , they are not breaking. Even if they did, no one is outside to notice.

That's kind of how it was a couple weeks ago. Denver is having the 2nd wettest June since the late 1800s. Our area is the same way. But now it is hot during the day, and afternoon thunderboomers.

And I pushed over the 40A' mark for the month w/ my irrigation :( Somehow, I doubt there is any chance of anyone sharing all the extra moisture. Still down over an inch YTD. We will see what the late summer/fall "monsoon" season brings. It doesn't take much to catch up when your average annual is less than ten inches.

It does seem to have been cooler than the averages I see.

Slow enough right now, I don't think I'm going to stock my truck back up for this short week. Think I'm going to just let the guys do the field work. We're getting around to some add ons and upgrades now. With a few "emergencies" scheduled in.

I've not seen it this dry for years up here. I think my cistern systems have slowed down on their recharge and screwed-up the germination cycles I'm running. Will find out by inserting this little dear into our on demand pump system. News at eleven.
