Im sorry if i have posted this in wrong forum, but i just need some help! My parents have just bought this property and are fixing it up to make it look presentable! I am new relevently new to hardscaping but want to do the job when i am older. Alright onto the question. What do i do here? All the concrete slabs have shifted, and need to be fixed, but we want to do it as cheap as possible! I have been told just rocks and sand, 4-6 inches of crushed stone, and 2 inches of sand? is it good enough?
The biggest thing that is stumping me is the steps, that are on the hill! how do i lay them? what do i lay them on? gravel and sand aswell? I have some pics of the layout now, and a draw out of how i want to have it done! I am doing this as a "weekend project" with my family, but only with some small money, dont want to spend to much money!

are you going to pore new concrete??
Are you planing on using whats there again ??
What I would do is take out the old concrete and put some pavers in like the next door did but a diff style.
Looks like to me the Mid step just slide off of what it was on at one time .

Cheapest way would be take every thing up . presser wash it . and re lay it .
Or just straighten ever thing up , kill the weeds and put down mulch along house , around steps !

We are planning to use the same stuff, but a little different layout infront of the door.
But laying it on the crushed rock and sand would hold it firmly for another good 5 years or so right?
what about the slight hill with steps, what would i lay those on?

thanks for the help! :)

what ever u do compact ur gravel and get 0-3/4 gravel. wet it lightly and pas a jumping jack on it. then sand or screening and that's that...the thinner the layer of screening or sand the better...
