View Full Version : Will spraying a LITTLE Roundup kill my entire lawn?

Might be a dumb question.

I'm going to spray Roundup on some unwanted crepe myrtle sprouts/saplings, hoping that will do the trick since the guy I hired to take the mature versions out won't return my calls...

They grow in 5-feet diameters in 3 spots in my yard. I'll accept some dead grass that I accidentally hit, but is there any chance the Roundup will get into the roots and/or spread to kill my entire lawn (or larger areas than I intend)?

Thanks again.

Very doubtfull. Just be carefull and do the spot treatment.... overall your yard will be fine.

I would prefer that you use some kind of broadleaf herbicide applied at label rates for this. Less chance of injury to the lawn and better effect on the saplings. Something like Weed-B-Gon is brutal on trees exposed to accidental drift, imagine how well it works if you spray right over the top.
