Where to purchase easy to remember phone number?

I know technically the phone company owns the numbers so you cant buy and sell them but it's obviously possible because all of the personalized phone numbers many businesses have.

Anyone know where you can get a number of your own choosing or at least choose from a list?

Just call the phone company and ask them if the numbers you have thought of are available.

Just like 'Daily..' said, call up and inquire. If your looking for a cell number its even easier.

I forgot what the service is called (maybe 'gold' something) but it is in the $3 per month range to have the four digits 'customized'. Look in the first section of your telephone directory where they post the policies, etc it should be there. If not, simply telephone your customer service number and ask.

I got 840-9998 and 466-7999 just by asking for a "good number" when I was setting up service..
