On your auger for a skid steer most have a realy large bearing in a cast iron housing that the bit hooks to.I found a supplier for them a while back and now I cannot remember where I found them.
Anyone have any info on them?

Not usre what brand you have but Auburn Gear makes a good deal of the "drive" portions of auger units.

I know that there is some Australian company that makes a large majority of the drive units for US auger companies. I think that the name is DIGGA or Digger.
