Do you guys charge sales tax on your monthly invoices for weekly mowing?

What state are you in? In New York Mowing is taxable.

I operate in Cook County Illinois, I have read and re-read the Illinois Business website several times but did not seeing anything stating that it is required of me to charges sales tax. Thats why I am posting here to see if maybe I missed something.

In KS the only items you charge sales tax on are things you LEAVE at a house. Fert, seed,mulch, trees, bushes...you get the point.


My advice is just call the government and ask them.

you may need to contaic the government. seems the only people who really know is the government. in Texas labor is taxable.

according to the document I have sitting on my desk right now. it says at the top of page.

operating without a valid permit is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than 500.00 a day...

this is the tax permit.
