Older Toro (early '90s) with Briggs 95902 engine started having problem with primer sticking when pressed - 5-10 sec to pop out. Now engine stalls out (as if out of fuel) after about 10 min of operation (sooner in higher ambient temp). When stalled the primer bulb is sucked all the way in and mower has to sit for 5 min before it can be started again. Anyone come across this or similar problem?

The only thing I can think of would be a fuel line clog, fuel filter been replaced of late?

Thanks - wonder if it would run at all w/ clogged filter. This one has carb sitting on top of fuel tank so if there is a filter it must be part of the pick up tube that extends down into tank. Will check it though.

Drain your gas tank replace fuel filter blow out gas lines.
Get a carb rebuild kit and i'm sure your problems will go away.

Sound like gas shortage because it works to get that gas by sucking on that primer.

Helps if i read. These things are a joke to clean. a couple screws blow out carb with carb cleaner and air and clean the screen and fuel filter pit on the tank and clean the gasket or replace and you will be good as new. Takes 5 min to do this for me.

Thanks guys - that was it. Screen on bottom of fuel pickup tube had crap on it. Surprising it was getting fuel at all from tank. Primer works normal now with no stalling after cleaning.
