We have all talked about what kind of boots we all prefer, no one has posted their collection so I decided today was the day to share. I just wore out another set of sole's on my newest pair of RW boots. So as my tradition goes time for a new pair, and the old to get resoled.

I calculated what I have spend per pair on these RW boots it's About $1,190 for 5 pairs of RW boots or $238 per boot, that includes RW's premium "moldable" foot support/inserts, those are worth every dollar too:). and I have each pair re-soled at least once costing me a total of $375 or about $75 per re-soling job. My average Red Wing Boot sole life is 18 months. The RW leather Uppers & "welt on all my RW boots are still good, some boots pictured are going on 5 years of service.

I wear the heals out from weedeating, and walking on concrete all the time, I still wear all 5 pairs of RW boots, I am very particular with my new RW boots while their work boots I am able to keep the uppers looking like new for about 7 months while working them hard. Older RW boots are always in my tool box, and can be brought into action for those dirty jobs:cry:, as to not mess up my newest RW's;)

Nothing will slow me down except sore or wet feet, so I depend on good boots. To some $1,190 on work boots over the last 5 years is expensive, but I look at how hard I work the boots, and how happy my feet are at the end of each day.

The newest Red Wing boots are Red Wing 4420's Loggers, it's been about 15 years since my last pair of Loggers, but I figured with the chain saw & tree work I do, and wearing out the normal RW heels in 19 months these Logger soles look super heavy duty, something different.

Looks like you need to get to an alignment shop and get the "toe" checked on the black pair it looks like it is out of alignment! I have worn red wings for years well worth the money!!!

The Wolverine SR Duras at $135 do just fine. They are light and cool on these hot days. They withstand doing sprinkler checks and digging for repairs but mainly they are very lightweight.

I've never owned a pair of red wings, but I've heard only good remarks about that.

I agree with you, the last thing I want to think about on a daily basis is my feet. With a good pair of boots, preferably Gore-Tex for me, I hardly ever think about my feet.

My brother finally killed his pair of RW's they seemed to hold up. He's an electrician and also does a lot atv riding. I used to get the cheap boots and throw them away after 6 months. Now I have TimberlinePro's very comfortable, so far they are holding up, but I have less than a year on them. I might try some RW's or Justin's.

I got the Timberline Pro Series as well. I wasn't a huge fan of Timbs before, but got them anyways.. They have turned out to be great boots.. I put them through EVERYTHING and they've been solid so far (only 6 months so far). I'm guessing they'll probably last me til the 2 year mark..Which is ridiculous in my opinion. I use them for everything - school, mowing, landscaping, ATVing, fishing...

They cost me like $80 or so..Great pair of boots. My next pair, though, I might try a slip-on kind..A few friends of mine have them and love 'em. We'll see. :)

OP: that's interesting that you get them resoled and keep them all. I never thought of doing that before.

I like slip on boots better than laced. To aggravating for me to lace them up. I have a pair of wolverines and they have been good to me, but at the end of the day when I'm dead a$$ tired, they feel so heavy, like a brick, so I switch to hiking shoes. How heavy are the RW's?
