Hello all. First, I am a big fan of the site and really value the experience and knowledge of the owners on the site, both newer and more experienced.
I would like to hear your stories on how many clients you had in your first, second, and third season. What different strategies, other than the typical flyer or news paper add, did you employ to grow your business.
I am starting up in 2010 to supplement my full time income. I'm doing it legit, insurance, licenses, and NO LOANS. i've saved cash. In my business plan, I would like to have 15 to 20 weekly mowing accounts for the first season. Is that reasonable??? I have a personal friend that is a property manager and I know a few other property managers that would reccomend my business along with some builders as well.
