underneath a flipped-back walker hopper that's full of grass.

i was running really low on gas so i decided to check it before it would stall out (they suck to prime). the lawn i'm mowing is small and flat. well low and behold the hopper full of grass falls on my head and slams it into the intake air tube assembly. Whew, i didn't break anything or hurt my eye, but i have a purple eye now. the brunt of the impact was at bone right above my right eye socket. Could have been waaay worse.

I've never done anything stupid like that before...kinda makes a guy step back and slow down. With all of this rain we've been getting in the northeast I was too stressed out and not paying attention. :hammerhead: scary.

stay safe out there guys (and girls)!

I'm really hoping no body actually needs this advice.

I agree with him.

It's kinda obvious, isn't there a little sticker on it that warns you NOT to do that?:hammerhead:

Hope you have a fast recovery.

Oh yeah well I can also tell you that you shouldn't ride a Toro Wb while standing on
the front deck with one foot and controlling the T-bar with the other foot because
one false move and that beotch slam yo ass on the ground so fast, too.

No purple eyes, but a solid amount of what looked like road rash all over my side,
and it hurt like hell yet the only thing I could think of doing was to look all around
to make sure nobody saw me do that.

The good news, that was 7 years ago.
The bad news, been there, done that.

But hey, at least we're learning.

There's a story that we need to hear. Any chance it started with "Hey Y'all watch this!"
