while not everyone will or would like these type of shirts, but I would give these shirts a 5 star rating for working in the extreme southern heat very functional & high quality shirts. I was a little concerned about purchasing these shirts for "work", and have passed on them for many years, cause their "Fishing shirts". Finally I just got tired of all my shirts not living up to the standards as the rest of my gear & equipment, so I thought what the heck.

These shirts have air ventilation mesh "flaps" built right into the shirt. one large one on the back very nice:), and one mesh vent under each armpit, with zippers, very nice:). The design of the shirt wicks the moisture away, shirt does not stick to your body, are stain resistant, non of those dried sweat stain marks. More features than I can remember, check them out. I was not expecting them to be this good myself

I purchased 5 of these shirts @ $24.99 each, and I wish I purchased more now.

I allow my guys to wear T-shirts or long sleeve shirts that I approve. I do not invest in company logo shirts for daily use. I do use the high visibility orange or yellow vests when on all accounts those look professional, and we stand out.

Really you were not happy with them. I still sweat wearing them, but these shirts seem to wick the sweat away faster, plus I am much cooler. Our humidity has dropped some the last couple of days still were pushing 100+ degree's. So far I am happy. The Columbia's brand in these shirts is about $39.95 here.

What I don't get is how being dry keeps you cooler, doesn't your sweat make you cooler when it keeps you wet?

I might have to give those shirts a try.. I'm in Texas and its not dry heat here at all.. We average between 90 to 100 % humidity throughout the summer where I am at.. Last week we hit 108 twice so you can imagine with the humidity , it was rough.. I usually use thin company t-shirts.. But these look good and thin.. Not real big on the flap on the back but hey I will try anything once.

Yes and No on that one..

If you have dry heat where you live then yes , your sweat will cool you down..

If you live in Florida , Louisiana or Texas (places of high humidity) then you are pretty much S-O-L (screwed) With humidity in the air (extreme hot moisture) then your sweat will actually cook you and you dehydrate faster..

Sweat has to evaporate to keep you cool.

While I dont get the 100 degree days you guys do. I still believe in a white t shirt for hot days.

I like the Star DriFit shirts at walmart, around $20 for a collared shirt. Also like the Nike and Under Armour polo type shirts. Can find them on clearance for around the same price and are very comfortable plus they don't wrinkle when packed away.

I tried the "fishing shirt" a couple years ago.... did not get the same results you did at all. Stuck to me like glue and were very uncomfortable. Gave em to goodwill.

Those shirts look nice. I have to wear button up collared shirts at work and I think the collar helps keep the sun off the back of your neck a little bit. There's nothing special about the ones we get though, just a polyester/cotton blend that get sweat stained like crazy.
