2.5% return is pretty good for just flyers, distribute more of them.

You might try to talk to some of your neghibors if you see them out mowing, also try to get a good reputation, word of mouth is one of the best advertisments. I'm in your same situation though, 13, 14 in 11 days, and I am looking for more accounts.

I only have 2 right now, thats the problem, I started mowing my lawn when I was around 9, about the second time I ever did it, my neighbor came over and asked me to mow his. The neighbor across the street did that too, but they move away a few years ago. Try some flyers though, and if you see anyone outside mowing their lawn, just go ask them if they would like someone to mow it for them. Even if they say, no, leave a buisness card or flyer incase they change their mind, or if they go on vacation for a week, or what ever, just tell them to call.

I would, I am 17 and i just did it for about 100-150 houses and got 5 mowing and about a dozen mulching jobs. I passed out 250 flyer's and got 1 mowing and 2 mulching jobs.
The first few homes are always tough but once you get down what you want to say it gets easier. You wont get hardly any rude people who just shut the door everyone appreciates your ambition and will at least hear you out. Just make sure you are professional about it. Company shirt, nice jeans or cache shorts, clip board in your hand with flyer's and business cards on it, another tip it took me some time to figure out, if someone says "let me check with my wife" or "yeah im interested, ill give you a call" ASK for there number so you can call them about an estimate.

Try many low priced places to advertise and track where calls come from then spend more on these ads & cut out ones that do not work as well
