I have a Fastrack model 926501 serial #02067200 I am breaking deck belts I have broken 2 since last Sept. and one in just one lawn cut. ie 2 1/2 acres There is 450 hrs. on this mower. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I have re-leveled the deck and to no avail, tightened belt tension er one more click and that was the one cut belt. Anyone else with any experience with this problem?
Again thank you for your help in the past. Anyone who dosen't believe in
Hustler service I have one question for you>
Where can you buy any product, and get factory help with your problem?

One added question: Could the belt tension-er be so dirty underneath it, as to cause it to react too slow on keeping the belt tight? The last belt broke like someone cut it. These are Gates Hi Pro B-142 belts.
I have also replaced both idler pulleys in the last 1 1/2 yr.
The recall and up-grade have both been done by my local dealer Pro-Mower.

I would take the belt off and check all the pulleys for wear or debris in the grooves, also like you mentioned, check the tensioner assembly for movement, make sure it is moving its full range of motion.
Check your idler pulley bearings also.

As it turns out the culprit is the tension-er. Dirt had gotten underneath the thin Poly, and the Poly rails have weakened in time allowing for the tension-er to not sit parallel. Should the thin poly be glued down to the deck to prevent dirt from getting under it?
The thin poly is all wavy and bubbly now, and the rails are turned up and the back one may be cracked.
I power wash this only once a yr. but I do use the bk-pk blower all the time to keep the grass down in my garage, which may explain how the dirt gets under the poly.

The material is bolted onto the deck.
Their are 6 recessed bolts, 3 on each side.

Thanks again, I talked with Pro Mower ordered all new Poly parts for the tension er, and hopefully all should be well next week.
ps: I did talk with them before but no one could figure out what was happening until it became chronic, and I just happen to stop it in the act.
In all fairness to Pro Mower they did not have the mower only the belts it broke.
Just goes to show.

Good to hear and I am glad you have it figured out.
