Spreaders for walkways?

What do you guys use to spread sand, salt, ice melter,etc. I have a fertilizer spreader, but it will on take small stuff. What do you use to spread the stuff?<p>Justin

I use some old spreaders from True Green ChemLawn, old is 1 year old if that. Anyways they stop spreading at an even pattern, and drop a little more in one spot than an other. This is ok for lawns put is fine for ice melt. I am only talking about an extra 1/8 of a cup over 15 feet. <p>Geoff

I use a tow behind made by EPOKE in germany<br>36&quot; wide drop type, spreads wet sand to salt, and you can set the drop rate holds about 1000 pounds.<br>Bill
