Okay, I am happy with my new metro, but i do scalp quite often and really worry everywhere I go. First off, I bought a Metro 36" fixed 15hp kohler belt driven ECS. So I was wondering if there was anyway to somehow transform my metro into a HP. I havent looked too hard under the machine but i think you could unbolt the front of the chassis and switch it out to the Metro HP chassis.
Is this feasable?
Thanks,
Clint

Clint,
Sorry to hear you’re having such difficulties with scalping. For the most part this is not something we hear very often on the 36" unit.
Unfortunately you can not convert a Metro to a Metro HP. Although they do share some components, you’re really looking at to very different machines.
You may want to try changing the direction or angle that you approach the hills, burms etc. Quite often this will eliminate any scalping your having.
Thanks
Terry

what height are you cutting at? how many spacers above and below? also have you changed the spacing between your blades and spindles?
