A little pressure washing, some touch up paint, and a few new parts and she'll be as good as new.

nope $100 and ya it needs belts, cleaned up, deck bearing, tires, and a new motor he said the motor was good and just needed a pull starter but i got a like new briggs motor or 5 other good motors i might throw on there
but ya not a bad find there was also a scag 52inch cut on there that needed work for $150 that i was trying to get also but had some people stiff me on buying stuff so kinda couldnt get it but this should be enough for projects i hope to buy another project truck tomorrow and i got like 6-8 other projects going on lol so ya i got alot of work ahead of me

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but how much do you usually spend on a "project", is it usually hard work (knowlege wise), is it worth it in the end, etc.
It actually sounds like fun, for my free time, I was looking for a project bike (dirt bike) off craigslit, but havn't found one, maybe a project mower would be good.

its just a project to pretty much kill time since i work part time and cut lawns part time it keeps me busy not really worth it to fix stuff i make more parting stuff out to be honest with you but some things i think are too nice to part out
like i have this good shape 1994 katana i tried to sell as a whole for $1500 im losing a bit on that and not getting any thing for like 8 hours of work i did to it but no one wants it whole or if they do they want it for $500 so its getting stripped and parted and i have over $1000 in parts pending payment and $$75 cash already from it and ill still have pretty much most of the bike left
but ya some projects i got are not worth fixing like i have a 1999 grand am i got for $200 and the motor knocks was gonna replace it with another motor out of another 1999 grand am i have but traded the good motor and tranny for a 2001 ninja 250 clear title but needed a motor found a motor for $200 on craigslist and talked to him about it was gonna buy for $200 and he told me he needs the cash and he would take $100 so i got it and it was a whole motor wiring, carbs, lots of extra parts that are worth money sold the carbs on ebay for $100 and put the motor in the bike and got it all together sold the bike for $2000 was asking $2500 but first day guy offered me $2000 cash and i said sure cause out of about 60 e-mails he was the only one with a good offer all the rest were trade my 1980s tempo for it i dont have any cash but want a bike (lol i get that alot and im like H**L no i dont got alot of money and i dont want your junk unless you got cash to add) i piss alot of people off but screw it you wanna offer me crap stuff or offers then i really honestly dont care if i piss you off or not
but all and all parting stuff for me has been better in the long run cause i make more and its to the point now where i can get a whole katana bike apart every thing off (well not the motor apart or any thing) in less than 2 hours and thats with all hand tools
so ya i waste time putting stuff together to have no one want it then waste time taking it apart but i get my main stuff done and have time to kill while the wife is at work
but craigslist you can find alot of good deals that is where i have been getting most of my stuff or ebay i just got a 1991 gs600 on a part trade for my 1990 nissan 300zx but its another project lol

Lol, looks like it has a million miles. But hey, great deal, like what was mentioned before, a little bit of TLC, and it will be good as new. Good luck, I like projects like those.
