View Full Version : 2007 Dakota for plowing

I am looking at buying a 2007 Dakota with a 3.7L for a run around truck and want to use in the winter. Has anyone plowed with a truck like this? Does it have enough power to push a 6'8" snowway plow?

get a 3/4 ton for plowing.
You get that small of a setup and you won't be able to grow any..
You can't push any commercial lots with that and face it...there's no money in plowing residential.
But if you do get that truck...you have the best possible plow picked out for it with that sno-way...top notch plows.

I agree with Bladescape. However, if you happen to have a 3/4 truck, or are planning on buying one in the future, the Dakota wouldn't be a bad truck to do strictly residentials with.

Dakotas are great trucks; just not for hangin anything heavy off the front of though. If money is tighter, look for a 94-2001 1/2 ton Ram. It'll handle a plow up to about 750lbs just fine without many mods.

Small stuff is ok with it.

Using something small works great. I can go where the big trucks can't.
And yes I do some commercial lots because I am so small.:dancing:
