What kind of tall stuff would you have suggested and where would you have put it? Thanks alot for the positive feedback. The material cost around $720.00 and the lights ran about $165.00 and the total cost was $1665.00. I had about 16 hours and one helper had 9 hours and another helper had 4 hours.

Ouch. I hope you at least mean 16 hours total! Not 16+9+4 or else you came out with $27/hr before you paid the guys?
Looks good though, needs an edge between the mulch and grass.

Gotta edge that bed or your mulch will wash away gradually. Just doesn't look finished without one either.

I don't like to put an edge between the grass and mulch. You dig a trench and then the mulch will mound up to the trench. Thats how I think it looks best why do you guys have an edge for?

the trench is what i was refering to. is there on there. the edge just didnt looka as crisp as it usually does when there is a trench.

Looks good. I agree, you do need more tall stuff, maybe a focal point between the windows on the right and left side of the house. I do like the assortment of plants that you put in though. Good job.

Making a new bed edge or redefining a planting bed with a professional bed edger makes a property look as it should---sharp and well defined. Bed edgers KEEP the mulch in place unless it is being walked through and kicked out.
That turf could use some major improvement too!
