I just bought 5 acres in central kentucky. what type of sprayer and herbecide do I need to kill weeds. I am mowing all 5 with a 61 inch bob cat ztr. the property is pretty flat. I found a BRAND NEW NORTHSTAR ATV SPOT SRAYER 26 gallon on ebay for $154. I also found several others cheaper, but smaller. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What is the tree situation like? If it is an open area you will probably want a boom with nozzles. If you have lots of trees you will be better off with a broadcast type nozzle. Can this sprayer be mounted on your mower? A sprayer of this size and output is going to cover a little more than 1/2 acre per tank. You will have to calibrate whatever you get, of course, but in my experience these put out around 1 gallon per thousand square feet. Depends on your ground speed.
It could take 5-6 hours to cover five acres with a setup like this (9-10 refills). I wouldn't rush into this particular sprayer or limit yourself to the end of auction timeline.
Is there a water source to fill the tank at the property?

By the way, this sprayer is $144.99 on Northern Too (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200347992_200347992)ls web site without the boom.
