Stihl FC85 edger atachment on a FS76

I need to buy a new trimmer but I also need an edger once in awhile. I was wondering if I could take the string trimming head off of my old FS76 ( which still runs like a champ) and put the edger atachment from a new FC85 edger on the FS76.
Then put the string head on the FC85.

Has anyone tried this?
whould there be any problems from doing this?

not sure if it'd fit or not but is the fs76 a SOLID shaft or flex type cable drive? if it's not solid you probably will ruin it and then have to buy a new one anyway.
