I had a gravely diesel outfront that had that problem, but it had a actual hydro tranny/and transaxle set up instead of 2 wheel motors, I found out it was loosing hydraulic pressure as the thing warmed up, so it would run fast when you first started it but the longer it ran the slower the deck lift and the steering got! I never did get it fixed though, it is still sitting in my garage as thise outfront mowers are just too big and slow these days, It shouldnt be that bad to fix it though, take it to a hydraulic repair place instead of a mower repair shop though. Good luck, let me know what they tell you.

You have to check the charge pump output first. Thats what supplies the steering. Only accurate way is with a flowmeter. And they ain't cheap. Steering is proprietary over the lift.

Make sure the implement relief pressure is up where it is suppose to be. If you need someone to fix and want it done right sent it over to Hydro Services in Roland, Iowa. They have done a few for me and are great and can do any Hydro.
