I have that trimmer and I love it. If you haven't done so already, I would take off your spark arrestor, it makes a heck of a difference.

both, it is also much more fule efficant
Does anyone know about these so called "alternative" spark plugs for the Redmax BCZ2401S? They are supposed to be a hotter, better longer lasting plug... I have read about this on another forum, but the poster never mentioned what specific plug he was talking about, the thread was kinda old, which is why I'm posting here. I have this model trimmer, and love it. My opinion, beats echo hands down, I own both type equipment, redmax has more power to weight, however, they are harder to start, but not too hard.
dealer has to say you should not remove spark arrestor

I would recommend removing it also, they are out of all my trimmers and edgers.
