I like the BG-86.

I like my 55 a lot, but I am sure the 86 can only be better

I have the 65, takes like 6 pulls before it runs. My 85 I sold a while back only like 1-2 pulls and it was running. I like that handheld, very handy for under shrubs and tight spaces.

Mine is pretty beat up and used, but almost always starts in 2 pulls, what condition is its air filter in, cause when mine is dirty is takes like 10 pulls to start or wont even start

Filter is only a couple months old, that blower is rarely used, just for tight spots and things like that.

Then I do not know why is is acting up but if you do not use it much then it does not really matter. If my helper or dad is helping me we often will use the sthil as well as the kawasaki bp

yep Ive worn out one bg55 and replaced it this spring with another.....quicker to grab it from the cage than to get a backpack out of the rack and put it back when done....strong lil blower for the $$$$

I love it for after a long day, it is much easier then a bp

Yeah I like the 55 also, the 85 is a little nicer but it doesn't make up for the huge price difference...
I have both :p

I find the only thing the 85 does is it has a nicer cruise control and it blows a teensie bit more air, but not much.
The CC on my 55 gave out after a year or so, as did the ignition switch, but then I don't need that to make it run.

how much does the 55 go for?

160'ish I believe...

Oh, I paid $10 extra to get the flat-tipped nozzle, which in effect turns my 55 into a 65.

I got mine for 130 last year, it is well worth it IMO
