View Full Version : My wall fell only after two weeks.

I built a wall the other week that was next to a driveway that hasn't been pored yet. Before I built the wall a water main pipe was dug up and buried where the wall crossed in one section. The hole was filled with looked like crush gravel all the way to the pipe. I didn't excavate all the way down. I guess I assumed the gravel would have been compacted. Guess not. I will have to replace now. Bummer.

How big was the wall? How much damage? Pics?

Sorry for your misfortune, but that is totally awesome. I personally am waiting for a few to come down myself so I can say I told you so, preferably my neighbor with his 8 foot high undrained gravity wall. Seriously though, there is a reason why contractors charge what they do and it is usually justified.

There are so many hacks around here it isn't funny! This makes my job so GOD DAMN hard it's not funny. "Why does it cost double to rebuild this wall all the materials are on site?" :dizzy:
