Wheel Bearing question.

How do I check my wheel bearings. I had the passanger side replaced at 80K and I'm concerned that the drivers side might need to be checked. I have a 2002 Chevy 4x4 2500HD CC with 101K miles. thanks

Bob,

You should be able to raise the tire off the ground blocking it up (jackstands) then free spin the tire listening for any growling noise, Then grab the top and bottom of the tire and try rocking it (pulling in and out on the top and bottom).

There should be no noise or rock in the tire, If either is found check into replacing the bearing.
