Groundsmaster 4000D

I have a 2002 groungdsmaster 4000D with batwing mowers. I am having a problem with the hydro, in forward it goes about half speed on flat ground and has trouble to go up a little hill, and in reverse you step on the pedal and it sit there 2-3 seconds and then it will go. in reverse up a little hill it will lerch and may not make it up the little hill. Any help?? Thanks Mike

Have you tried changing the hydro oil & filter(s) ?
