changing enginesfc420v to a fh430v

first off i'm new here so hi to all.
can anyone direct me to the wiring diagram for the kawasaki fc420 engine,or tell me how to wire my new engine(fh430) to my snapper walk behind?The new engine only has a black wire to kill the ign. and requires a wire to the battery for the voltage regulator. any help is appreciated,thanks,tom.

It would be easier explained if you posted the model and serial numbers off your Snapper.....

Sorry, the new engine number is fh430vc50676 model number is fh430v-ds20-s,and the old engine number is fc420vc82348 and model is fc420v-hs09 any help you can offer is super! thanks,tom

It looks like your going from a single cylinder rope start to a twin cylinder electric start ?


Here is a wire diagram for the new FH engine;

Now, Rather than adding a five post ignition switch and solenoid then wiring these all up you can run the black kill wire to your original on/off kill switch. Pick up a push button starter switch and long enough cables from your local Snapper dealer and wire as below;

thanks restrorob, how about the wiring diagram for the old engine (fc420v) because i still have all the safety switches,and capasitor for the pto clutch,or do i even need the capasitor with the mower now having a battery? thanks,tom.

Again, I would need the model and serial numbers off the machine/unit/Snapper to check my resources for a wire diagram.

You will no longer need the capacitor with the battery and charging system.
