Exmark LHP4818KC power to solenoid but none to starter

I have replaced the brake switch and seat switch, load tested the battery, checked the fuses, tried a new key switch all to no avail. I get 13.5 volts to the remote solenoid but hitting the switch will not send the power out the other post to the starter. Should there be power of some sort going to the 2 small wires on the remote solenoid? I tested both while hitting the key and neither had any power to them at all.

You should have battery voltage on the yellow wire at the small post on the solenoid in the start position.

If you have no power to this yellow wire go to the yellow wire on the back of the ignition switch (this yellow wire should be hooked to the switch post marked "S")

If you have power at the "S" post (yellow) on the switch trace this yellow wire back to the solenoid checking for any internal breaks in the wire.

You could even run a test wire from this "S" post to the solenoid if you have power just to be sure that's the only problem.

Got it fixed! Ended up being the red wire leading in to the harness plug on the key switch. Where it is crimped to hold it in place broke so it had no power going in to the switch. Scratched my head on how to go about fixing it then decided to cut the plastic plug off and use female connectors and plug the wires directly to the switch. BINGO the old 1999 18hp kohler powered lazer hp lives once again!

Believe it or not that old thing is my fathers favorite mower. It needs a new muffler but he refuses to pay almost $300 for a muffler.
