Ok guys, I'm looking to sell my 2002 Toyota Tacoma, Extended cab. It has 140,000 original miles, near perfect condition, 5 speed manual, 2.7 liter 4 cyl., Books for 12,000, I am asking 11,000. Reason for selling: I'm going to college in the fall and looking for something else to go back and forth to school. I will post pictures of it within a day or two. Don't miss out on a very well taken care of truck.

I used both Nada and kbb and thats what I am asking. Its in perfect condition just had the frame checked at my toyota dealership the head service manager told me it looked like it was brand new, I personally know the service manager. Its 4wd, I'm just looking to get what I paid.

How am I over priced if nada says the book value is 11,750 or so... The truck is in excellent condition. Never smoked in. All scheduled maintenance performed. Battery is less than a year old. Going to Toyota for the warranty undercoating and rust proofing. The windshield does have a crack in it but will be replaced before it is sold. I detail vehicles on the side so everything has been detailed and shampooed recently. A/C is perfect (ICEEE COLDDD) and in the winter time the heater will run you out of the truck. Never abused or mistreated, very well taken care of. Just looking for something to go to and from college this fall over 150 miles away from home.

Your price is right. Toyota's reputation has driven their prices beyond reasonable....new and used. Someone will buy it. They always do.

It's going to last forever. It's well worth the money when you compare how long it will last you.

not to say ur overpriced, cuz it is a toyota they hold their value very well and it looks like you have a very well taken care of truck. I dont think many of those sites have caught up with the recent economic downturn. I believe your truck is worth what you are asking but I don't think you'll get it in this economy. Trucks are selling pretty cheap out there right now, wayy below what they are truly worth. In 2004 I picked up a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 Reg Cab V6 with 40K miles for 13k. Just this year I picked up a F250 4X4 Powerstroke Diesel with only 55k miles for the same price. I couldnt find one for under 20 with that mileage when I was looking in 2004. Anyways, sorry to make such a long post, i do wish you the best of luck you have a nice truck there.

Good lookin' truck, no doubt about it. I cruised by it today before seeing this. Tough place to sell it seems, I can understand that. Trucks are mostly overhead for folks here, so expecting book value or even close is probably a no win (especially in this economy).
Target audience may be a little thin too... that 4cyl isn't going to do much more than a small open trailer, and with 140k that's top top $ for a working ride. I'd be afraid to scratch that paint, and it can't be a working ride if I'm afraid to scratch the paint.

The market here in West Virginia is doing better than everyone thinks. No plunge in housing or really anything for that matter just a little fluctuation.

Thats a nice clean truck.
Just curious, since its so reliable and gets pretty good MPGs, why get rid of it? I know I regret getting rid of mine. I only had a year left to pay it off when I got rid of it, I wish I kept it for a nice DD/off roader.

I am selling to get a different car. It's a great truck don't get me wrong. I am in the market for something with more room and power.

H E L L no, it's worth it. Guess your too experienced on Mopar pricing which is crap and will never be worth a dime not now not ever. It's a toyota which will last 3-4 times as long as your dodges there.
I am would tend to agree with that , For your truck I think 10k would be reasonable place to start. It certainly does look like new to me.

I can vouch for JHill19. He is a good guy and does keep his stuff in immaculate condition.
Good luck with your sell.
