I just purchased a 2006 Bobcat S250 skid steer. This is my first skid that I have purchased. My question is should I use all Bobcat original fluids for the machine or is it okay to use some other brands of fluids. I am looking at purchasing all the fliuds soon to have them on hand. Just wondering about the oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, etc. I will use Bobcat original filters but for the fluids what do you reccommend. I haven't priced anything out yey but am sure that the Bobcat fluids will be quite a bit more than others. Thanks.

I only use Bobcat brand fluid and filters in my 2007 S300. If it’s still under warranty I would defiantly use the Bobcat brand.

Price everything out first. See if your saving $5 or $20.. You should always have 2.5 gal. Hyd. oil laying around. Makesure the coolant is a PG mixture. Price it out and see..Some people will buy aftermarket just to save $5 a filter.OEM is the way to go. Its cheap insurance for your machine..
