any way to kill bermuda grass and weeds in playground areas around the fall zones? There are play areas with mulch that are enclosed with a border edging in the grass. I do a lot of nursery schools and we cant use roundup or chemicals and looking for a faster way than by hand, any help?

I like the fire idea, FIRE ! YES
You might catch the mulch on fire though, not good, you would probably get complaints about catching the playground on fire

Acetic acid works very well to kill top growth on most anything, they may grow back though it does not affect the roots. After you get them a few times the plants usually give up

How about that thingy you see on TV that connects to the end of a drill

If you want a brand name I hear scythe works well, I think Barry over at Tech Terra sells it

Pull them or use a torch, preferably a tarring torch. If you go the torch route practice common sense.
