How is this a review? This is more like a vent. Saying a piece of commercial equipment is horrible with no explanation is asinine. Did you buy it used? What happened to make you not like it?

I'm not trying to be mean, I just want to understand.

Yeah next time don't get a puny model, I see a lot of folks getting the srm-210
but that's really not in the commercial line, what did you do, get it at a box store?

Next time go to a dealer and get at LEAST a 260 then you won't hate it so much
that you have to leave it out hoping it gets stolen LOL

I've had my srm-260s for 7 years now, I ran it full-time for 3 years solid, it still
runs real good but I have other trimmers I like using, too.

I've had one 210 for 5 years and still runs great, and the other for 4 years and still runs great, with no problems whatsoever!!!!!!!! and they have been run hard.

I got it for christmas in 200, it was new from home deopt. It had a lot of problomes, such as hard starting, string would not come out right, as well as when I had it it was getting repaired for minor porblomes a lot

Yes it did come from home depot,I still have one echo left that was not stolen, it is a gt1100 trimmer, it just sits around, it needs work, but is a great trimmer for its age

I never abused it by "mowing down trees"

I never said YOU did. But alot of people like to push equipment past their limits and thats why it will fail. I bought my 210 to maintain my accounts that are cut on a weekly basis. So all i need mine to do is cut about an inch or so of grass blades.

I own all echo hand helds. Mostly due to dealer support. The only problem i ever had was my back pack blower fouled a plug due to bad gas.

My 210's are the best thing I own, lightweight, powerful and easy to start with no problems. You might have got a lemon my friend.......echo makes a top notch product and i prefer them over any other brand but they are not the only brand.

I've run all mine very hard and never had any prob's for 4 to 5 years still running excellent, you just have to maintain your equip well, basically just cleaning the air filter and clean gas!!!

I have a 210 that I have had for 5 years now. Its not as powerful as my stihls but for simple trimming jobs it is great. Light and is great on gas

A 230 is a good choice. A little heavier than the 210 but with a little bigger engine size. I like the 210 over the 230 due to the weight factor.

I may not get it then, they no longer make the 210 I think
