I think this is the right forum to put this in. In my area we have a local shopper type paper that comes out weekly. They installed 2" j-hooks on every mailbox post in the county. Since the paper puts their bags onthe hooks, would I be right in putting a flier on the hook also? Is the saying good by saying "if it's good for the goose, it's good for the gander"?

I am really not worried about the shopper paper, was more refering to the post office and what they would say, since the flier is actually attached to a hook and not the box.

i am about 99.9% sure that it is not against the rules of the post office to place flyer in a newspaper box. With that being the case, the hook should be the same as a newspaper box. I don't think there is a problem. If there was, the post office would allready have gone after the people for putting the hooks there in the first place.
