I installed a bald cypress in my yard last season. It looked amazing this year with all the leaf blooms. We had one really hot week of 100+ degrees. I water my yard 2-3 times a week. As soon as I noticed this happening I let the hose drip on tree for an hour or more. I have bent some of the branches and nothing is snapping so thankfully it's not dying. Does exteme heat just burn the leaves? What can I do to bring it back to green? Im just worried I'm going to lose my $300 tree

Water! Water! Water! Cypress thrives and is native to standing water.

yes. I have several bald cypress on campus that are covered by the turf irrigation and even with turf irrigation they still still get weak looking when hits a week or two of no rain...
These trees thrive in heat, but they do need water...
