Can you provide a pic?
How much we talking about when you say over run with it, sounds like your going to be doing some seeding anyhow; so would it not be worth to just kill it all off and reseed?
Again, could see or tell more by pics.

Killing it all is not an option. There is still a lot of desirable grass to save. Over 50% crab in some places. Sorry no pics.

50% is a lot. Almost so to say to yourself "which would be cheaper"?
your still going to be doing the reseeding. Some herbicides are going to be more expensive then round-up.
Now think about how much crabgrass MIGHT come up in the desirable grass from the time you do a selective herb treatment and replant seed only in the areas you've killed off.
Time Vs Cost is what your looking at and the decision only you can make
Been there to, know how you feel.

AR,
Definately read the labels on Simazine and Atrazine, as they are labeled for Centipede grasses. Don't just go and buy what I have posted..........pre-read these active ingredients for research.

We use Sethoxydim for crab in centipede. John Deere carries it. This is a generic version of Vantage.
