Well, we have both but less than 2 hrs on it, and its flat where we live... The only hill we mow is at our moms house... but no complaints, its a little scarier than a ZTR, and even a WB...

Well russel, today i was helping my friend with his eagle project and a director of grounds( who was helping us) drives an 09 chevy 3500hd just like yours it had a boss v plow but it had the d/a combo and it was green, but since we had to transport benches we were installing at different sites and i was asking about his truck and he noticed that i was in lawn & landscape service he said I'll let you drive it. I had to slap myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming, but it was asome !!!!!! that duramax is a quiet engine it drives and shifts very good I really want one now, but it was the best day ever today.

Yea, the rearend is real stiff... we didnt put the v box in yet, we are planning on sandblasting it, and rhino lininh the inside, and painting the outside... We live right by lake erie, and have a river running through Toledo. It a shipping thing there, so we are going to a place with mountains of salt... They load it up and everything...

Well, we mowed for a while yesterday, and i got out of the truck and looked at it... It was real shiny... I asked Ryan (my bro) if he washed it, he said yes. The other day him and his girlfriend were all at her parents house, but her whole family was sick, so he washed the truck... In the pic it has leaves all over it...
And then we were at a job, and our Brother-in-law pulled up, and i snapped some pics of his BMW 740i... Its a nice car and all, but i would rather have a 2010 Chevy 3/4 Ton, and a plow, and trick it out, and a 2010 Camaro... Yea, that thing was pretty dang expensive...
Then a pic showing some of the bad rust on the salter...

Well, we got around to sandblasting the Salter, Lining the truck beds, and the controller for the salter came in...
rusty_keg_3
11-16-2009, 05:25 PM
Oh, i forgot... It took 36 bags of blasting sand to get it done... Their is some lift, but we will just use a grinder with brush attachment on it to finish up...
Edit... And the Bags were like $10 each (like 9.89)....

11-16-2009, 05:29 PM
We used 3 1 gallon cans of herculiner... at $89 per gallon (we got the kits)...
The pic of the liner for the 09.. The liner wasnt dry yet, and we still gotta touch it up a little...

Likin your bed liner!! Rhino?
Thanks man... its actualy Herculiner, its like $90 for the kit, and it takes a little extra for a 8 ft bed, we are happy so far... 1/5 the cost of rhino...
Was the liner a hard kit to use?? I was thinking about it but may just send the truck to a guy to have it done.
No, its easy...
1.Scuff up the paint.
2. Wash it, then dry.
3. Mask off what you dont want lined.
4. Apply liner (it cures in like 12 hrs...)
We will do any other beds in the future... But we will see how it holds up...
NOTE- DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR SKIN!!!!! It WONT come off (well, it dose, but slowly).

Yea, one of my friends from school tested one for a day. I think its kinda cool, but im a chevy fan... My brothers friend races atv's and has 2 450R's... Those are the fastest four wheelers i have ever seen... He has these gas filled shocks, and they cost over $1000. And when you start it, if u give it gas it wont start, then when u press the starter again and it starts, it shot out HUGE flames...

It goes 100 MPH off road in the desert, of course it can go a 100 on paved roads also, but it's quite an achievement for a truck to go OFF ROAD and go 100.

No prob... It was a package deal thro our Chevy dealer... The truck was around $30,000 and the plow was around $6,000... Plus or minus
We wish we would have gone Duramax, and atlest Ext. cab if not crew... The cab is really small compared to my bro's 99... But its all paid for, so no use selling it and losing all that money...

Upcoming project, nothing to crazy... 30 yards of mulch, 5x20 path (pavers), 2 benches, Weed barrier...
I took some pics today...
Sorry about the quality of the little paver thing, i did it by hand in photoshop, and im not very good with photoshop... If they go with pavers, it will be a basket weave...
I drew it up, so they could visualize it...
FYI: Its my church, its a memorial garden. The inside used to be a mess, trees, bushes, and WEEDS! But 2-3 years ago, they had it torn out, then some parishioners built the pergola... And they paid a company (about a 1.5 years ago) to edge, lay fabric, mulch, plant. And they were suppost to water it weekly... Well, they didnt put down fabric, they used crappy plants (most were almost dead when planted), then didnt plant right, and didnt do enough mulch... Well, the church paid them, and said dont come back...
So, thats where we come in...
rusty_keg_3
03-14-2010, 08:01 PM
Oh, all but like 5 of their plants died, so some parishioners came in and replaced them out of their own pocket...
