View Full Version : 2006 Fastrak 20/52 Starting Issues

My Fastrak has run flawlessly until now but I have begun experiencing an issue whenever I try to start the mower. When I attempt to start the mower nothing happens; as if it thinks one of the safety features is not properly engaged. Intermittently, it will start and when it does it runs without problem. I'm beginning to suspect a loose connection, but have not been able to find it yet.

I've checked the battery, seat switch, and both neutral/park switches and they each test fine. I'm not sure where the ignition system checks for the blade engage as I haven't traced out the entire harness yet. Is there a wiring schematic available? Any other ideas?

The electrical schematic for your mower is in the parts manual.

Sounds like a relay intermittent open. Hustler part# 601053.

PJ - Thanks for the link to the wiring diagram. I was able to trace it out today while it was acting up, and it is definitely the relay. At least, it is simple enough to replace.
