is it a good idea to seed or hydroseed?

I have a couple people that have

1 topsoil layed..has to be smoothed and graded...

2 had some trees taken out and has to have some top layed and seed

when is the best time to seed this?...

Here in MN - best time to seed is around mid Sept. Irrigate, Irrigate, Irrigate the seed. Apply a good starter fert.

Will defer to others in your area for precise timing, though.

you are entering the best time to seed now.. aug 15 to the end of sept, we are crazy busy putting in lawn installs.
we do almost 7 days a week during that time.

biggest thing is, have a reputable company do the install. a 70/30 blend or 100 wood is the best hydroseeding material. paper, mulch is cheap and not as effective.

what kind of sqaure footage you talking about here?
