Hello All,

Well, we hit approx 14 people with interest in a group buy discount. So I will outline the offer and how to take advantage of it. Please note: we are largely a factory direct company, we do not have 3-5 tiers of markup on our products, so we are not able to discount as heavily as catalog brands, our products cost much more to make, therefore you get much more of a product.
Also note: we have held over 2008 pricing through 2009, but in 2010 there will be price increases due to material cost increases. This will be the best offer of the season.

Honestly, why can't you just offer the savings to lawnsite members, they are all being shipped to different places and at the buyers cost anyway. Then people would not have to sit and hope (and wait) you get 10 people.

Usually a group buy is meant to save shipping costs by shipping multiple units to one location.

I'm not trying to put you down, its nice of you to offer something, but I just wanted to make a constructive suggestion.

Should I get the 9000 or 8000? We have a shop, but we don't sharpen many blades, we probably average 8 sets a week. Most of our customers sharpen on their own. Is the 8000 much faster to use and last alot longer, or should I get the 9000?

The difference between the MAG-9000 and MAG-8000 has more to do with "TYPE OF BLADE" not performance.

Long story short:

If you have mulching (curved cutting edge) blades or do lots of 1/2" thick brush cutter blades, or have lots of left handed blades to do CHOOSE MAG-8000.

If you are a commercial cutter and your blades are mainly all straight flat conventional cutting edges mainly right handed or just a few left-handed, and also a small amount of 1/2" thick brush cutter blades then CHOOSE MAG-9000.

Hello All,

Well since 10 has been acheived, anyone that would like to participate in the group buy may still do so until Monday 31st of August and get the group discount pricing.

Please note this will be the best pricing of the year - 2010 pricing and catalog will be out mid Sept - some prices have stayed the same - some have gone up just sligthly - and a few have gone down.

When the print catalog is out - i'll link a downloadable PDF here at lawnsite.com or you can request a catalog by mail. We've also added some new educational info.

This fall we will also be releasing a brand new corporate website with more videos knowledge base and lots of new features, the online store will be the same.

Thank you to all those you participated in the GROUP BUY, and I hope you greatly enjoy the benefits of our balancers and sharpeners.

I encourage you to leave posts about your experience to help others to decide on their blade maintenance needs.
